About Me
Hello! I'm René Velarde—a PhD candidate in Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary, adjunct professor at Azusa Pacific University, and a perpetual learner at the intersection of theology, technology, and transformation. My academic journey explores the rich landscape of Christian ethics while my professional path weaves through digital marketing, worship ministry, options trading, and AI innovation.
What drives me is the belief that intellectual rigor and relational depth aren't opposing forces but complementary strengths. In the classroom, I guide students through complex theological frameworks while creating space for authentic community. In the boardroom, I help organizations craft data-driven strategies without losing sight of the human stories behind the metrics. And in worship settings, I blend musical expertise with pastoral sensitivity to create meaningful experiences.
When I'm not researching constructivist grounded theory or leading worship, you might find me building automated trading workflows, designing AI agents, or in the gym pursuing my bodybuilding goals. I believe the fullest expression of our humanity emerges when we cultivate growth across all dimensions of life—intellectual, spiritual, relational, financial, and physical.
