Gentle Rage

the rageful,
once the most gentle,
quite soon, encountered harm,
their gentleness, so early on, was aroused to fight,
raging, they learned, keeps one alive,
and so the gentle rage,
to one day,
maybe,
discover their gentleness, indeed,
survived.
