I’m a first-generation Mexican-American scholar, researcher, builder, writer, and musician. I’m a PhD candidate in Theological Ethics at Fuller Theological Seminary and the founder of Luminosa AI.

I’m interested in what our beliefs, communities, and technologies make possible—and what they make difficult to see.

Alongside my research, I work in communications, teaching, and program coordination. From 2020 to 2026, my consulting with the Hispanic Theological Initiative at Princeton Theological Seminary included editorial coordination, digital content, interviews, and video production.

What does AI amplify in us?

I’m researching how technology amplifies our capacities for deception and truth-seeking, and reshapes social influence and power. How is that changing with AI?

I’m asking what happens when our tools can speak persuasively, shape what we notice, and act on our behalf. Whose judgment carries further? Whose interests become harder to see?

Why Luminosa

A place to put questions to work.

AI is changing quickly, along with the systems that connect us. I want to understand the larger shifts in trust, influence, and responsibility—and what they mean in the small details of everyday work.

I founded Luminosa AI as an independent research and development practice. Conversations about AI and human life help me question assumptions; building and testing software gives the questions a practical form.

A voice assistant, an email workflow, or agents working together can make a broad question concrete: who understands the result, who can change it, and who remains responsible?

The other threads

There have always been a few.

My research also attends to trauma, faith, and human flourishing. Before this, I spent more than a decade as a pastor, worship leader, and educator across churches and universities.

I still write poetry and make music. I also spend an unreasonable amount of time asking whether a repetitive task could become a useful little tool.

Research makes me question my assumptions. Creating gives an idea form. Communicating asks whether I can make it understandable—and whether I have listened well enough.
